So you want to be an actor?

I am the Worrier!

Big props if you figure out which 80s song I'm alluding to in the title.

Today I realized that there is only one week left until the Open Dress Rehearsal.

One.

ONE?!?!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ok, so maybe I panicked a little too much. But in all honesty, when I showed up for rehearsal, I did not feel prepared enough to go up on stage in one week.

However, I felt quite differently once rehearsal ended.

We now have masks and they look beautiful! You can tell that a lot of work and tenderness went into them. And stumbling through the script in the awkward angles left at your disposal actually wasn't that bad. Luckily one of my castmates is a registered masseuse and he's promised us neck massages throughout the run. Yay for Doug! Also, once the padding gets placed on the inside of the mask, I shouldn't have to worry about my nose getting a nasty bruise.

"No officer, my boyfriend doesn't beat me, I'm just rehearsing a play. What? What do you mean I don't have to make up stories for him? I don't get it."

Yeah

Anyway, since everyone else was either in exam mode, broke or had mask adjustments to make, I had to forgo my impulse for a beer and treated myself to my new drug of choice: Vanilla Bean Lattes from Second Cup. And I don't care if using skim milk and then asking for extra whipped cream is redundant! I want my extra whipped cream, dammit!

...

Please don't spit in my latte.

Oh, and if you'd like to see pictures of the mask-making process, or of the cast getting drunk, or of the cast getting drunk during the mask-making process, check out Linda's blog.

I tried to put some of them up myself, but my computer is being stupid right now.
