A Busy Life: O How I Missed Thee!
Well it has been a little while since my last post. Even though I tend to post more then some people who shall remain nameless, it still feels weird for me not to have posted anything. You'd think it was because I had nothing to talk about, but that wouldn't be accurate. Quite a few things, in fact, have been going on.
First of all there was last Friday where I drink, drank, drunk myself into the arms of an unsympathetic Porcelain God. If anybody wonders while watching my show if we were drunk when we made our masks, I can honestly say that we were. And it was wonderful! Until about 5:30am on Saturday. Then, not so much.
My bathroom romance was quickly followed by an improv jam organized by the divine Kris Joseph. I finally figured out that the cure for a hangover is a game of Zip Zap.
That Saturday was also Darcy's birthday. He rocked on the present side, getting many a cool toy. Going out that night just the two of us to a concert a Zaphod's, he didn't want to drink alone. Arg. I could still taste last night's alcoholic fun in my mouth and he expected me to drink? Sigh. It is his birthday after all. Big props to the lovely bartender at Zaphod's who had the answer to the question: "What's the best alcoholic drink to get when you drank too much the night before and probably shouldn't be starting up again?" Answer: A Ceasar. Although I probably shouldn't have had it as spicy as I normally do.
Sunday, we saw dogs. You know how much Darcy loves me compared to the dogs when he cut my head out of every. single. picture. :p
Then my busy, busy week began.
There has not been one night this week were I have not been home until well pass 11pm and it's not looking like that trend will end any time soon.
Don't get me wrong, I am more than happy to be going to rehearsal, filling in assistant teacher duties for an acting course or even taking the time to sculpt my show mask out of clay (*Which as an aside, if you ever need a good sculpter, look no further then the fantastic Owen Spendlove who had never even touched clay before making the most beautiful mask I had ever seen. The boy's a natural!).
No, what's been bothering me is going to work everyday for a job that is just wearing down my last nerve.
