Remember Kids, Acting Is Fun!
I'm working on a play right now (buy your tickets soon because they are flying off the virtual shelves!), which is great, but for the past couple of rehearsals, I've been a bit of a, shall we say, a grumpy gus. A variety of factors contributed to this sentiment, I'm sure (crappy weather, bad day at work, PMS, resistance, drama, ect.), but I should have been professional enough to leave all that at the door. Because you know what? Every weeknight during the month of January, I get to go and play! Why the hell would I want to be grumpy about that?
So, I made a conscious decision before last Monday's rehearsal to just go and have fun. And you know what? I have been! Rehearsals have never been better and I'm really looking forward to moving into Arts Court at the end of the month.
I guess I still had stuff to learn from community theatre after all.
