Busy, Busy Bee
Well, a while back, a friend of mine, Steph Halin, asked if I could be in her Digi 60 film. When I met up with her on Claudia's shoot, she brought it up again, saying that it would be a very short shoot and that I wouldn't have to worry about learning any lines. I figured this meant that I would just be another extra in the film.
When I headed over to Arts Court last night for the shoot, she gave us the script. Well, not only did I have lines, it turns out that I was pretty much the lead. The fun part though was the concept. The first 4 minutes of the short would be in black and you would only hear people talking. The twist happens in the last minute when the lights come on and you see where we all are. What made this cool was the fact that we only had to read our lines sitting together in a circle for the soundtrack. Then we moved to another location in the building to shoot the surprise ending.
This was probably one of the best ways I could see myself spending three hours. Not only did I get another credit for my resume, Steph also took my suggestion for a title for her short. She was also very attentive to all the actors by making sure we had enough food, water and breaks. I really can't wait to see the end result in September.

Tonight, I'm going to a birthday/house warming party for the people who created the first film short I was ever in. I'm looking forward to touching base with them.
Tomorrow, I will be recording another radio show for Remote Planet and on Sunday I'm suppose to be doing background work on Tom Green's latest film. I think that's going to be a lot of fun.
Then on Tuesday, my agent got me an audition for a Public Service Announcement (PSA) in French. Unfortunately, I still can't audition for the English stuff because I'm not in the union. Someday, someday.
I'm really surprised though at how much stuff has fallen onto my plate in such a short period of time. It's a fantastic, yet kind of overwhelming feeling.
Oh, and before my sister asks, I'm not getting paid for anything except the Tom Green thing, and even then, it's only minimum wage. So stop asking me about buying you a damn car! :p
