Audition #2 through my agent
Hereby known simply as Audition #2*
*while I have had hundreds of auditions in my lifetime, I find that I now have a clear point of reference to go from. So I'll just count how many auditions I get through my agent.
So I had that Voice Audition yesterday. It was pretty cool. However, since it was in Barhaven I spent about 2 hours on/waiting for a bus. (While in the past I might have considered an apartment in Barhaven, having now done the trek there, I know that I definately do not want to spend that much time commuting.)
I think the entire roster for Take One Talent showed up for that audition. Well, all it's union Anglophone talent anyway. With everyone signing in, I felt a little out of place (non-union talent do not need to sign in). I did figure out why I was alllowed to be there though. The voice work was bilingual and I was told to prepare the French only. On location I found out that it was because the Englsih was done through an IPA agreement (basically a low-budget union agreement with ACTRA) and the French wasn't.
Le sigh. I wish I could have tried out for the English too.
One day.
They were a bit behind schedule due to some technical difficulties so when it was finally my turn things were really rushed but I think I did ok.
I also came to the realization that I much prefer running around town for 2 hours, waiting around in a crowded room for another hour, and doing my part in less than 2 minutes instead of working in an office (I do like my job though, don't get me wrong).
Unfortunately, you can't make a living off of auditions alone.

Also, I am now on hold for Background work on May 3rd and/or 4th for the MOW A Lover's Revenge.
