So you want to be an actor?

Everything's Coming Up Milhouse

Well, it is now official, I have received and accepted a job offer from the Museum of Civilization as their new Information and Promotions Assistant. This is a full-time permanent position (no contract!), which means that I will be getting health benefits, 3 weeks paid vacation, a pension, and any other perk that comes with a government-y type job. Not only that, it seems that your salary goes up by about 5% every year. That percentage is split in to two: you get 2.5% every year on the "anniversary" of your start date, and the other 2.5% in April. This means that in less than two months, I will already be getting a raise.

I haven't told them I'm an actor yet, though. I'm hoping to cross that bridge when I come to it. I've managed quite a few jobs where I've had to juggle my dual-life, so I doubt it would start being a problem now.

Oh, and for those of you that are disappointed because I won't be getting free NAC tickets anymore... well, I'm trading those in for free IMAX tickets. Stay tuned!
