No Turning Back Now

This afternoon, I stopped by the Ottawa Fringe Office to drop off an application form and a cheque that my butt can't cash. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about anyone cashing the cheque until December 15 and, even then, only if I get accepted into the festival by a completely random draw. So if my mother is reading this, she can quite probably expect a frantic phone call on the night of December 15, begging for some money informing her of her new producer status on my show.

But Nancy, what if you don't get in?

Ah, I'm glad you asked!

In that possible eventuality, I will be doing a little thing called the BYOV (no, not BYOB, although I may do quite a bit of that too) where the V stands for venue. I'm putting up my own show at the Fringe Festival and nothing is going to stand in my way.

I'm scared and happy... mostly happy though. This is a big deal for me. Writting my own script and putting it up is something that I've always dreamed of doing, but never had the guts to. I'm not sure when I grew this set of guts, but I'm quite glad I did.

My plan is to have the script completed by the beginning of the New Year. Expect to be called upon, dear readers, to do what you do best: read stuff I write.
