Overstimulated in Toronto

How long before you become numb to it all?

Hanging around downtown Toronto on Tuesday my senses felt assaulted. Everywhere you looked there were ads, colours, sounds, people all competing for your attention. It was too much.

Everyone seemed it such a rush to get everywhere, but it wasn't the organized chaos I had found in Montreal. In T.O., other cars always seemed to be honking at us for no good reason. I'm trying to read the street signs dammit!

It also didn't help that Claudia and I went to see the Superman movie in 3D on an IMAX screen.

The only good thing about that movie was the 3D stuff. Well, that and Parker Posey. Everything else was crap that could have been told in less than three hours (three freakin' hours!)

On a brighter note, my headshot session was awesome! I got a few polaroids and I'm already excited. Once I get the proofs, I'll be sure to post them here.

  • You think Toronto's nutty? Go to Tokyo. Your head will explode.

    On second thought, don't go to Tokyo.

  • Heya;
    The lefties among us talk about the 'commercialization of public space' (or public commons). It's a movement that I think is important. We've allowed large corporations to seep out of the television and magazines and onto every available square inch of our visible world. When the *&%*$ is it gonna stop?
