Lazy Monday

Finally, a break!

My Fringe show concluded last night without too much hoopla and, although I enjoyed doing it, I'm glad it's done because I am beat.

Unfortunately, I only had the time to see one fringe show, but it was one that I enjoyed.

My 2 week intensive concluded with a selection of scene presentations hand chosen by the instructor. I was honored to have mine be included and I was proud of the result. We topped everything off with a bash where I got drunk and didn't make it home until 4am.

Then my phone rang at 6am.

It was the Production for which I'm doing the background casting calling to tell me they got my message over the weekend. Gee, I'm glad that required my immediate attention on a Sunday morning.

I tried to get back to sleep but it didn't really happen. I kept thinking about my audition for Vison Theatre and how I still needed to re-familiarize myself with my monologue. Imagine how pleased I was when I showed up and was told that they wouldn't be requiring a monologue after all (yes, this is sarcasm).

That audition done, I headed over to OLT for their auditions since I had been asked to drop in. While I loved the script of the upcoming Norm Foster show, I was disappointed to see how much the audition was a waste of my time. I think my class had something to do with it. After spending two weeks watching artist after artist bear their souls in their scenes, it just killed me to see so much community theatre schmacting. But, I was already there and signed in so I patiently waited my turn (I was the last to go) and promptly left.

This is about the time my hangover and the 2 hours of sleep caught up to me. I stayed for about a half hour at a farewell reception for a fellow actor in Romantic and then went home to sleep.

Since I had all my extras booked for today, and tomorrow is set as well, I now get get a nice little break this week until I have to book people for next Sunday and Monday.

Tomorrow is going to be a wonderfully lazy Monday.
