So you want to be an actor?

Days 3 and 4

Alright, I meant to blog sooner but I have literally been swamped. I know every other artistic person reading this thing can relate.

Anyway, yesterday I got up and went to a voice audition, attended class where I learned some wicked relaxing and sensory exercises, and then I had to leave early because we had to do tech for the Fringe. I can't believe our show opens on Sunday! (Shameless Self-Promo to follow)

Then I went to the show at OLT while keeping in mind everything I had learned in class, and you know what? I have never felt more present on stage than I did that night. It was a fantastic feeling.

Today, I had to go back for the same audition since it seems they had some technical difficulties and needed me to record again. It went well, but this other very talented bilingual artist I ran in to is probably going to get it.

Then I went to class from 11am to almost 5pm. I got to do my scene today and it went incredibly well. I don't want to go in to too many details on what was said because it would sound way too much like bragging, but trust me, it was good.

Of course I ended the day with another performance at OLT. While I am very proud of this show, I have to admit I can't wait for it to be over. I have never done a show that ran for this long and I'm grateful for the experience, but I'm ready to move on to the next project.

Who am I kidding? I already am working on the next project.

Next anticipated day of rest: somewhere around June 26th

  • You can't have June 26th as a day to rest, it's my Birthday - you've gotta come celebrate with us!
