Countdown

I haven't posted much lately because work has just been keeping me too busy. I've been doing alot of overtime lately and I'm getting quite tired about it. It's making me depressed and irritable and longing for the end of it all.

As of February 21st, I have exactly 2 months left of work. The cool thing I realized from that date is that Darcy and I would be celebrating our 4 year (4!) anniversary on March 21st (and yes this is a blatant hint for a certain someone because although I said I didn't care about Valentine's Day, I want a big freakin' deal to be made of this - that is all).

So April 21st is my last day of work. And I can't wait! However, with all the overtime I've accumulated, I may have to leave about 2 weeks prior to that date. I don't know yet how that's going to pan out.

I spend alot of my free time now (whatever little I get) picturing how things are going to be when I don't have a "real job" anymore. Cleaning the apartment and playing video games for the first week or so seems ideal right now. Guess which of those two items I'll be doing more of :p

Anyway, I'm really glad that I actually have some stuff lined up. At the moment, there's an as-yet-untitled Fringe show that I think will be a lot of fun. Especially if a very funny writer actually does team up with a very talented director I know. But we'll see.

Also, an old friend for whom I did a short film almost 2 years ago is doing another and he wants me in it. And he plans on actually paying me this time!

So I have some great stuff to look forward to at the moment. But you never know. Karma might suddenly decide to kick me in the ass (as is her wont). She might suddenly decide that I'm not right for that Fringe show after all. And/or make sure that my friend's grant application falls through and he can't produce his film.

But let's not think about that right now.
