For anyone familiar with iambic pentameter, is it short-long or long-short?

Short long, like a pickup before the beat.

Gimme a shout if you need any help with "structure of the verse" stuff.... but remember, most of all, to put it in your back pocket. Embody the text in your own way and impose structural hints only where you find them useful -- otherwise you'll get bogged down.
