The 80s Lunch
Wow, blogs are so great for venting all this crap that is annoying me. For instance, I have the radio on at work and most stations tend to have an 80s lunch hour. What I have been finding amazing is all these songs I hear that are now being presented as the new pop flavour du jour were actually all 80s songs. Hillary Duff, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Puffy (or whatever he's called these days) has been doing it for years, all these hack artists are just rehashing old songs. And you know what? The old stuff sounds way better. What I hate even more is that the people who listen to the new crap aren't old enough to remember that these songs were played before and they believe them to be original works of that "artist". I am so sick of these people calling themselves artists and ruining it for the rest of us.

Apparently alot of those one hit wonders in the 80s are now the writers and producers of the spears et al. The thing i hate is how the grammies go to brittany or justin or christina... when none of them write anything... they basically are handed a song and told to sing.
now... if the award was for greatest singer... then thats fine... but they are labelled performing artists... or artists... so dumb.
I am sorry... but this whole generation of pop stars is nothing more then 17-13 year old sluts that flash their titties, shake their asses, and work on their image 85% of the time... and then release maybe 2 songs a year that are produced like a sausage for maximum consumption at minimal expense.
madness.
now... this doesn't mean i don't stare at these titties or the afformentioned asses... but... it does get me mad when musicians from foregone days (beatles etc) are mentioned in the same breath as these newbies.
