The Power Blows
I've always been a person who prefers Hot to Cold. If given the choice between -40 degrees celcius and +40 degrees celcius, I would be all about the positive. I know most people would choose the opposite with the argument that you can always put on more layers when it's cold, but I hate being confined to bulky layers of clothing.
We have an air conditioner for our apartment, but it hasn't been installed yet. I've just been too busy lately to be at home at the same time as Darcy so that we can help the landlord lift the machine into place. Karyn was shocked that I hadn't taken some time off to do that. It would have been the first thing she would have done, but for me it wasn't that big of a deal. I enjoy the heat, I don't mind sweating or glowing or whatever it is that women do and, as long as I have some good air circulation in the apartment (and any furry critters stay far away from me), it's all good.
That is until the power went out at 11:30pm last night.
No more air circulation!
It's so nice and cool now outside thanks to the thundershower. Why is it so stiffling hot in here?
Ok, so we got power an hour or so later.
But just to be safe, let's get that a/c hooked up.

psssssssst, nancy...if your power goes out, your a/c won't work either. The man doesn't want you to know this...so keep it on the low down if you know what I mean.
