I love the Fall

I am definitely starting to think that Fall is my new favorite season. While you'd think it would be a time symbolized by death (what with nature going to rest), I find it really is a time for new beginnings. Take TV for instance. Fall always brings with it a season of shows, both old and young for us to enjoy. And since reality TV seems to be dying an oversaturated death like the fat man in Monty Python who exploded by just ingesting one more mint, albeit "wafer thin," there is a lot of really cool stuff out there (Go Veronica Mars!)

Fall also brings with it the most gorgeous colours of the year, draped in some of the most beautiful fashion I get to feast my eyes on. Aaaah, Fall Fashion how do I love thee!

Fall is the start of a new school year and a return to the grindstone for many who'd been away on vacation (take that however you want to).

Finally, Fall brings with it a new season of shows to audition for. With two auditions in two weeks, I'm feeling fairly good. While you've probably all read about the first one, I just came back from the second.

I think it was a good thing for me not to have any expectations at this audition since it really helped me appreciate just how funny the show is. Did I get a part? I don't know. Does it matter? Nope. Do I care? ... Ok, maybe just a little. :p

But I was happy with the audition. I had a lot of fun with it. Also, I've realized how much I like the relaxed atmosphere of a group audition. It's great to try out scenes with so many different people and experience all the different interpretations for a scene. This was also the second time in just a few days that one of my fellow auditioners commented on how much they liked my presentation. So I must be doing something right because other actors will not tell you how well you did unless they really meant it. We may find ways around telling you we didn't like something, but when we do like, we'll be happy to say it.

Despite the rain, I feel very content right now.

I do really love the Fall.

  • Hey Nancy,

All I'm going to say regarding last night's audition is that I'm really glad you enjoyed it. People tend to be a little more relaxed in a group setting - especially if you know someone else there. I just think they're fun overall.
Anyhow, it was really great to see you again - it's been too long! Hope to catch up sometime soon!
