Results of Productivity
Well, after a 14 hour day on set, things finally seem like they are moving along at a more reasonable pace on the film shoot. Unfortunately, it took a 14 hour day without lunch to get there.
I'm not exactly ecstatic with the level of professionalism in certain aspects of the movie. For instance, I was told to show up at 8:30am on Monday, but the makeup person didn't show up until 10am and the camera guy and the lead actor didn't show up until almost 11am. Let's just say myself and one of the other actors who showed up weren't exactly pleased. Also, since the order of the scenes we were shooting had to be scrambled to accomodate the lack of certain people, we ended up doing a lot of one person scenes and the rest of us were left to doing alot of sitting around. It was kind of annoying because that meant we could have shown up a lot later than we did. I hate having my time wasted, but we bared with it. Like I said, things are moving along.
I am happy with the experience though. I really like playing with some of these actors. I've noticed that the ones who have not had any serious actor training for many years (or at all, even) are the ones who are giving the most natural and honest performance and I love watching it. However, it does have me worried about my own performance. Sometimes, I feel like I sound fake and I'm scared that that's what's coming out. However, I'm not getting much feedback on it, and it the acting game, if the director is not talking to you, you must be doing just fine. In this case, no news typically is good news.
I can't wait to see how all of this turns out.
Also, my sister will be finding out, as she reads this, that she is now in the movie as well. I have a scene in the bathrrom where I look in the mirror and see a picture I put up. Think of the similar scene in Rocky and you'll get it. Well, this meant that I got a call at 7am asking me to bring a picture of me when I was younger. Unfortunately, all my class photos are in New-Brunswick with my mom, and all I had was a picture of me and Debbie so I brought it along. But don't worry, sister dear! I put my thumb over your face so no one can see what you looked like before you got braces :p (oh and don't try and get anything out of this, if I'm not getting paid for this film, you sure aren't ;)

On another note, I did not get cast in that artsy film I talked about previously. I'm not disappointed though. Really, it did not seem like that much of a big deal and I still have my hands pretty full with this shoot.
(Although if there is anyone out there who would like to cast me in something, I'd be more than happy to jostle things around to accomodate it ;)
